Whenever I think of the Université de Montréal’s beginnings – 1878 – I recall that the electric light bulb was introduced in Montreal and to Canada in that same year. Some symbols never change. Born into light, the Université de Montréal has shined for 132 years and it ranks among the world’s major institutions of higher-education.
Thousands of research projects
Together with its affiliate schools, HEC Montréal and the École Polytechnique, the Université de Montréal is the largest research centre in Quebec and has Canada’s second largest student body.
