The Associate Vice-Rector for Faculty Affairs, Luc Granger, is in charge of all matters pertaining to the Université de Montréal teaching staff, as well as the business of the Faculty Office. He is responsible to the Provost and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.
Luc Granger is a graduate of the Université de Montréal, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree, licentiate and doctorate in Psychology. He continued his post-doctoral studies in the Faculty of Science at the University of Lille. Returning to UdeM as a senior instructor in 1968, he subsequently became professor in the Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Arts and Science. He was chair of the Department of Psychology three times (1980–1983, 1990–1994 and 1998–2004), in addition to serving as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Science from 1983 to 1987. He has been a member of the University Assembly, the Board of Governors and the Executive Committee. He is a former president of the Québec Order of Psychologists (OPQ), the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) and the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology (CRHSPP). He was also one of the Québec representatives in the negotiations on interprovincial mobility for psychologists in Canada. He is a member of the American Psychological Association and a fellow of the Canadian Psychological Association.
